SFPA Writes to the Biden Administration Applauding Executive Order on LGBTQ+ Protections and Urging Federal Agencies to Review Discriminatory Regulations

January 22, 2021 – The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA), including members Danone North America, Mars, Incorporated, Nestlé USA, and Unilever United States, wrote to President Biden applauding the administration’s day one action to prevent and combat discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation, and respectfully urging federal agencies to review and take all lawful steps to rescind the number of harmful Trump administration regulations that discriminate against LGBTQ+ Americans. These regulations will continue to negatively impact our current employees and future workforce, as well as their families and communities, particularly those who identify as LGBTQ+ and/or who have family members who identify as LGBTQ+.
