SFPA Urges Congress to Support Robust Conservation Programs in the Farm Bill

SFPA Urges Congress to Support Robust Conservation Programs in the Farm Bill

Washington, March 16, 2023 – The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA) wrote to the leadership of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee and the House Agriculture Committee to urge the committees to ensure newly expanded investments in farm bill conservation and climate programs are maintained for climate mitigation and resilience. These investments are critical to ensuring America’s farmers and ranchers can address expanding markets and changing consumer needs while managing conditions like drought and extreme weather.

The letter can be accessed here.

SFPA looks forward to continuing a dialogue on how to best support America’s farmers and ranchers and the land where they work in the next farm bill.
