SFPA Submits Comments to EPA on Recycling and Waste Management

SFPA Submits Comments to EPA on Recycling and Waste Management

Washington, July 25, 2022 – The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA) submitted comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in response to two Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding the Agency’s work on new waste prevention, reuse, and recycling programs.

The Alliance’s full comments on the RFIs are linked below:

Our comments integrate themes and policy ideas from the Alliance’s ongoing work on packaging to date. Our advocacy aims to shift away from the status quo and toward a waste and recycling future where companies like ours can set and meet ambitious goals to integrate post-consumer recycled content (PCR) into our packaging, consumers are educated to better navigate their local recycling systems, and we can all be better stewards of the environment.
