Washington, April 24, 2023 – The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA) today submitted comments to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding its Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims, also known as the Green Guides.
The comments state: “The Guides are an important resource for both consumers and companies as they navigate environmental marketing claims within a very complex and quickly changing technology landscape. Our hope is that the comments gathered by the FTC in this review strengthens the Guides, provides much-needed clarity on the topics identified, and sets up a framework that supports existing and future innovation in environmental practices.”
