Washington, August 4, 2022 – The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA) released the following statement regarding the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022:
“The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance has long called for the U.S. federal government to adopt meaningful policies that will prepare for and respond to climate change. We are pleased to see the consideration of innovative, science-based solutions aimed at targeting the costly impacts of climate change and building more resilient communities in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. We are supportive of any legislative action that will enhance the investment that companies are making to meet emission reduction targets as well as provide farmers and ranchers with the tools and access to new market opportunities they need to implement and expand conservation practices that will address the climate crisis.”
