SFPA asks Congressional leaders to support nutrition assistance programs in the Continuing Resolution

On September 17, the Sustainable Food Policy Alliance wrote to the President and Congressional leaders to urge support for nutrition assistance programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and school meals programs, in the upcoming continuing resolution (CR). Congress must take action to forestall some of the worst economic and public health impacts of the coronavirus pandemic by ensuring Americans have the resources to feed themselves and their families.
